If you take a look at the Nightshade and Ranger spell lists, you'll notice a new formatting schema for those lists. The information contained was taken from Mythic's spells.XML file, so everything should be correct. This new format incorporates spell casting times, ranges, damage types, etc. I'm looking for someone to help me generate these pages for every class, if you are interested, you can read about the details here.
However, while we're waiting on the new lists, I'm still updating the old lists to try to keep everything consistent. I updated the spell level for the Wizard's Lesser Fingers of Ice from 20 to 22, and updated the spell level for the Cabalist's Encourage Agression from 6 to 2. There's also a new site on the links page, eCharlie's Camelot links site. I fixed a problem with the FAQ page 3 - it was incorrectly displaying stuff meant for page 7, and I added a Left Axe section to page 9.

Thanks to some nice readers who sent me basically the entire Spiritmaster and Cabalist spell lists, with numbers, I was able to complete my extrapolation experiment. What does extrapolation mean? Well, basically I feed known spell numbers and levels into this statistics progam I have, and then when I ask it for an unknown spell number or level, it guesses according to the numbers it has. What did I do with extrapolation? Well, some of the big changes to the spell lines over the past few months have been to buffs, debuffs, and pet stuff. I never got all the information to completely fix these lines, so if you've noticed, a few of them have looked somewhat wacky. In particular, buffs and debuffs appeared about twice as high as they should have been. Well, this morning, I extrapolated the values of every unknown or wrong spell number that wasn't a DD or a time... and I already used a control group, and proved the numbers are around 97% accurate. Soo... these new numbers I've thrown up will be only 1 or 2 points away from the real number, if they aren't the real numbers themselves. Basically, while not exact, these are pretty damn close, and a LOT better than they used to be. Here were the affected spell lines : Eldritch, Enchanter, Sorceror, Cabalist, Runemaster, Spiritmaster resistance debuffs; Runemaster, Champion, Sorceror, Eldritch, Cabalist, Spiritmaster attribute debuffs; Thane, Shaman buffs; Hunter, Cabalist, Spiritmaster pet buffs; Theurgist haste debuffs; Druid, Cleric, Shaman Acuity buffs; Cabalist pet heals. Again, they are 97% correct - much better than they used to be, but I am still very willing (please send em in!) to accept *exact* spell numbers and levels from our readers. Enjoy the new info =)

*pant* *cough* *wheeze* *groan* ... the new 20 page online version of the FAQ is up today, for your online-reading enjoyment. I updated the spell level of the Theurgist and Wizard Diamond Shield spell, fixed the level of the Cabalist spell, Obliviate Sight, and the description of the Ruby Simalcrum, and updated the amounts for all of the Spiritmaster debuffs. Lastly, there's a new guild on the links page, Templars of the Griffin, from Albion/Lancelot.
That's all for today, but before I go I was hoping to talk a bit about the spells pages. Supposedly, (please don't quote me, this is out of my hands) Mythic intends to have an online spell library, made of the delve information from their spells database. I get a lot of e-mails, asking if I can add casting times, damage types, power costs, etc. to our spell lists. Without a good resource, I cannot. There's just no way within my power to get that kind of information about *every* spell in the game. As it is now, the spell levels, names, and effects are only accurate because you, the reader, send me updates every week or so, and I *really* appreciate that, by the way. If/When Mythic does decide to place this spell resource on the web, I will be able to do sweeping updates, and the inclusions of casting times, power costs, etc. will be feasable, but until then, it's very unlikely. I decided when the site first began that levels, names, and values, as well as presentation were the most important things to keep track of, and I stick by that. Now, let's just hope Mythic does their spell resource thing quickly =)

Today I've updated the spell name and value for the level 36 Mentalist AoE DOT, Torrent of Dementia, I updated all the Spiritmaster pet buff numbers, and updated the level of the Thuergist spell, Lesser Fingers of Ice. I updated the description of Richochet - the Albion thrust style, and the Hibernian thrust style, Sidewinder.
There are two special things of note this week. First, at around 6 am Tuesday, Classes of Camelot recorded it's 1 Millionth unique front page visit. The counter I use only accepts hits from an IP once per day, and the counter only records hits on this page, not all the rest, so, that's quite an accomplishment =)
Secondly, I finished the new FAQ, however I have not been able to translate in into web pages yet. For now, the entire 57 page super in-depth everything you should know FAQ can be downloaded here in Microsoft Word format. I should have it online by next week. It's well worth a read for advanced and new players alike =) Thanks go out to everyone who offered advice and discussion on the new FAQ.

Today I've added the Shaman AoE DoT: Spore Cloud, fixed the level of the Spiritmaster's Emasculate Strength to be 45, not 35, I've updated the spell numbers for Redwood's Stamina, Redwood's Girth, Force of the Oak, Force of the Redwood, Dexterity of the Lynx and Dexterity of the Bear in the Bard, Druid, and Warden spell lines, I added spell numbers for the Druid, Warden, Healer, Shaman, Cleric and Friar resistance lines, fixed the spell effects and numbers for the Warden's Attack Unending spell line and the Friar's Saint's Energy spell line, updated the values of the attack speed buffs for the Druid, Warden, Healer, and updated the radius values for the Eldritch AoE Mesmerize spell line.
There's a new Ranger strategy guide by Whyrl Wynd, a new Shaman guide by Serpahym, and a new Spiritmaster guide by Astraeus - each can be found on it's respective class page. My work for the next week will be focusing on the FAQ - I intend to double its size, adding new content for both beginners and advanced players, and offer a downloadable copy in MS Word format, so look for that next week.
You'll also notice, down to the bottom left of the nav bar, are two new navigation links - the Char Builder, and the Fan Art. The Char Builder provides a link and home to the Classes of Camelot Companion, and the Fan Art section is where I'll be displaying Fan Art submissions, beginning with Yuen's Class Picture Gallery. Enjoy!
