You'll see a new poll the next time you log in (assuming you haven't already, of course):

We are looking for your feedback on purchasing 'a la carte' game features. Among the top requested features are such things as: Server moves, gender respecs, additional character slots, and additional vault slots. If this mechanism were the only way that these features could become available, would you be willing to purchase them?

• Yes I would purchase additional features.
• No I would not purchase additional features.
• Maybe some of them.

My question for Mythic is whether "the only way these features could become available" means that Mythic is planning to hire new programmers specifically to add this stuff, and then use the revenue to pay for them.

If they'll hire new people for it (or get to keep people on DAoC that would otherwise be on another project)... that's a good change, so long as they don't slide down the slippery slope UO went down and start selling true in-game bonuses.

If they use current DAoC programmers for these features, it will negatively impact those who don't pay for them. There are a lot of things being held up by lack of programmer time, so if this takes away from any of those... shame, Mythic. Shame.

So, good idea or shameful money-grubbing slide into evil? We'll see.

Yeah, my Mauler is on Pend. I made one on Gaheris and Gareth on release day, I think, but haven't played either of those... lately I've been playing a game in beta that I'm not allowed to talk about. (And no, it's not WAR - that's a month, maybe two, away.)

Clicking the ads here does give me money - but I can't encourage you to click them. ;)

And your Valewalker guide (and some other things from the contest) sort of got lost when I started adding Labyrinth stuff. I didn't keep very good track of the different things to do, back then. Now your guide will go up soon... depending on whether I get frustrated trying to figure out something else and move to your guide sooner, or buckle down and finish the other thing first.

Hurray! It looks even better than I remember it. The coloring seems to compliment the overall greatness of the guide. Those animated GIFs sure are neat if do I say so myself. My friend has been wanting to see it for a while and I told him he would have to wait until it went up on your site 'til he could. Still can't find the link in the guides section, though (I'm so pesterful).

I got my mauler to 36 last night (The double XP in battlegrounds is almost as awesome as I am) but then I got sidetracked and started playing my berserker (31). I dueled my friend's mauler (29) and he kicked my butt the first duel, but I got him the second time. He thought I was critting on him... hehe...
